Juniper arrived trembling. She'd spent her first two years in a shelter and flinched at every passing car.

Our founder, a veterinary internist, went looking for something gentle to help — and found a shelf of shortcuts: under-dosed formulas, artificial flavours and labels that promised everything and disclosed nothing.

So she started again, at her kitchen table, with a notebook full of research and a small group of fellow vets. Three years and hundreds of iterations later, Burk & Purr was born: wellness rituals with the rigour of medicine and the warmth of home.
